SR-2000 Operable Skate Retarder

 The SR-2000 Operable Skate Retarder is designed for installation at the pull-out end of high through-put classification yards, where positive coupling and increased safety is required.

Standard Configuration:

• Full-assembled and gauged in a 39' panel
• 7" x 9" oak ties with end plates
• 220 volt hydraulic pump unit (8 gallon capacity)
• Diamond plate safety deck
• Available in any rail weight

Features:

• 39' panel for "drop-in installation".
• One piece tie plate with rail clips for positive no maintenance rail gauge.
• Diamond plate deck provides drag protection and eliminates debris.
• Power "shimming" allows 1 man to gauge (shoe wear compensation) at retarder with no hand tools and under 10 minutes adjustment time per complete unit. See Video
• System utilizes readily available pneumatic type brake shoes.
• Unique design prevents light car "pop-outs" while positively stopping extra heavies.
